How to apply

  1. Go to the official site eta.gov.lk. Avoid look-alike agency sites that charge extra.
  2. Choose "Tourist ETA" and fill in your passport details (valid 6+ months from arrival), dates and first address in Sri Lanka.
  3. Pay by card if your nationality isn't on the free list.
  4. Approval usually arrives by email within 24–72 hours. Print it or save it on your phone.
  5. On arrival, show your passport, ETA approval, return ticket and accommodation details.

No more ETA on arrival. Get approval before you fly; airlines may refuse boarding without it.
